Matsugen

I went to a soba place with my friend, but I'm not a fan of soba, so I ordered udon with my favorite tempura set.

The udon was soft yet chewy. My favorite part of the dish was the tempura set though. There were two big shrimps, one pumpkin, one Okinawan sweet potato, one onion with few slices, and one zucchini. The fried part was light and crunchy just the way it should be. The tempura sauce had a lot of broth so it was delicious.

Chinese Food!

I went to a Chinese restaurant a few weeks ago, and forgot to post these pictures up.

Shrimp walnuts

The shrimp is covered in some kind of mayo sauce and the walnuts are sweet (kinda like a candy).

Gau gi

This is like a fried pot sticker but is more crunchy and has more meat on the inside.

Char Siu Chow Fun

The white stuff is the chow fun, which is basically fat noodles. It has a little mochi-like chewiness.

Chicken Cake Noodle

The chicken is a bit salty for me, but the noodles were awesome! The cake noodles are cut in cubes and the outsides of them are a bit crunchy. 

Fried Garlic Squid

I think this is self explanatory, but the squid was soft yet still a bit chewy. The fried garlic just matches with the squid.

Asparagus and Fish with Black Bean Sauce

The fish was tender and the sauce was just excellent. It was a bit like soy sauce yet not as salty.

My favorite is the squid and the shrimp walnuts :)
I recommend drinking hot tea since it cleans your mouth in a nice way.

Snow Factory

After the Korean dinner from So Gong Dong, my friends and I went to Snow Factory for dessert.  It is located in the same shopping center, McCully Shopping Center.
At Snow Factory, they have an unusual shaved ice.  The dessert isn't grainy like an ordinary shaved ice, yet isn't necessarily like ice cream or frozen yogurt.  It's light, creamy, and just melts in your mouth instantly. When I first took a bite, I was like OMG what is this!?!

Garlic Rolls!

If you like bread, Bravo Restaurant has some awesome fresh baked garlic rolls. They give it to you like chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant.  They are so good, and the waitress/waiters keep the rolls coming to your table, that it'll be hard to finish the meal you actually ordered. YUM!
